1. Who is responsible?
Seagull Drone Lab, located at Paul Krugerstraat 145 B2, 3072 GJ Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. Contact: info@seagulldronelab.nl.
2. What data do we process?
- Data you enter in the repair form: name, email address, phone number (optional), drone brand and model, description of the problem and chosen delivery method.
- Photos you upload. Note: photos may contain metadata (such as location). Feel free to remove it before uploading.
- Technical data needed for security, such as IP address and time of the request (in server logs, e.g. against abuse).
- Data from WhatsApp or email contact if you reach us that way.
- For a repair: return shipping address and payment details (invoice).
3. Why do we use it and on what legal basis?
- Assessing your request, preparing a quote and contacting you – performance of a (pre-)contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent via the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Carrying out the repair, return shipping and invoicing – performance of the contract.
- Keeping records – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, Dutch tax retention).
- Securing the website and preventing spam – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data for marketing and never sell it.
4. How long do we keep data?
- Requests and photos without a follow-up order: at most 90 days after receipt, then deleted automatically.
- Data of completed repairs: as long as needed for warranty (3 months), after which we only keep what Dutch tax law requires for 7 years (invoices).
- Server logs: at most 30 days.
5. Who do we share data with? (processors)
We only share data where necessary: [hosting provider – to be filled in], [email provider – to be filled in], WhatsApp (Meta) if you contact us via WhatsApp, the carrier for return shipping and our accountant. We sign data processing agreements with processors. Where data is processed outside the EEA (e.g. WhatsApp), this is based on appropriate safeguards.
6. Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools, which is why there is no cookie banner. Only your language choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage); it is never sent to us.
7. Security
We take appropriate measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to data and automatic deletion of old requests.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to info@seagulldronelab.nl; we respond within one month.
9. Complaints
Not happy with how we handle your data? Please let us know. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens): autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
